Following a competitive tender process, DR Jones Ltd from Yeovil were appointed to carry out work to refurbish and upgrade the changing rooms in Bridgwater Town Hall.
Work started on site on Tuesday 28 May and is due to be completed in time for this year’s Carnival concerts.
Work includes damp proofing, mechanical ventilation, new flooring, new sanitary ware, reconfiguration of the layout to include new showers, rear stage strengthening, painting and decorating along with the installation of energy efficient lighting.
The total costs of the work is £398,000
This is the first phase of the overall site development and has been funded by the Bridgwater Town Deal.
