The Bridgwater and District Archaeological Society is delighted to invite members of the public to a fascinating evening talk exploring recent archaeological discoveries uncovered during work on the new tidal barrage project.
Taking place on Thursday 21 May 2026, the talk will be presented by Sarah-Jayne Broughton, Senior Archaeological Consultant at AtkinsRéalis and Lead Archaeologist for the Tidal Barrier Project.
Sarah-Jayne will share exclusive insights into the latest findings from the site, shedding light on previously hidden aspects of the area’s rich history.

Doors open at 7.00pm, with the talk beginning at 7.30pm. The event takes place at Blake Museum, 5 Blake Street, Bridgwater, TA6 3NB.
