Parks are essential for our physical and mental wellbeing, offering spaces for recreation, wildlife, pets, and community events.
This year Love Parks Week takes place between 26 July and 4 August 2024. The aim of Love Parks Week is to get as many people as possible out into the great outdoors to take advantage of their local park.
Bridgwater Town Council is committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents by maintaining and promoting our beautiful parks and open spaces. We believe that everyone deserves access to nature and our teams work hard along with volunteer groups to make sure they are spaces everyone can enjoy.
As part of the Seven Sundays of Summer events, Bridgwater Town Council is hosting two exciting events in Blake Gardens during Love Parks Week:
Sunday 28 July: The Burtle Silver Band will perform in the Blake Gardens Bandstand from 2:00pm until 4:00pm for an afternoon of music.Â
Sunday 4 August: The Cobblestones will take over Blake Gardens, transforming it into a vibrant hub of activity. This free family event features live music, classic cars to admire, and food and market stalls.
In addition to Blake Gardens, Bridgwater Town Council oversees several other green spaces, including St. Matthews Field, Victoria Park, Cranleigh Garden, Coronation Park, Bower Ponds, The Meads Eco Park, Brewery Field, and Mansfield Park.
These areas are available for event hire. For more information, please email [email protected]
