Step into the awe-inspiring world of Gaia, the breathtaking touring artwork by internationally acclaimed artist Luke Jerram, now open at Bridgwater Town Hall.
The 7-metre diameter sculpture offers you a chance to see our planet as if viewed from space, suspended in the historic interior.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 4 November to Sunday 23 November. Entry is on a pay-what-you-can basis, and booking in advance is essential to manage timed slots.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy two very special evening events under the magnificent globe of Gaia. On Thursday 20 November, Bridgwater Town Hall will host Earth Music: An Orchestral Concert Under Gaia, an immersive performance featuring a powerful blend of cinematic and classical compositions performed live beneath the illuminated Earth. This atmospheric concert promises an unforgettable experience where music and art combine to celebrate our planet.
The following evening, on Friday 21 November, beloved wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan will take to the stage for An Evening with Michaela Strachan. Joined in conversation by naturalist and broadcaster Dr Stephen Moss, Michaela will share fascinating stories from nearly four decades of wildlife broadcasting, from Springwatch to Elephant Diaries, offering insight into her life’s work and her deep connection with nature.
