On Bank Holiday Monday 8th of May Bridgwater Town Council held a Celebration Fete in Blake Gardens.
The weather forecast was terrible but we persevered none the less and hosted a programme of live music, entertainment, stalls and food.
Entertainers such as the Burnham and Highbridge Brass Band, the Chalice Morris Men, Aaron Sax and Westcan Choir delivered amazing performances – all coordinated by Dave Englefield of Sedgemoor FM. The stalls were a mix of products, amusements and foods all provided by local businesses, charities and organisations. We also had a visit from the local Fire brigade and saw the brilliant Bridgwater Area Cycling Campaign set off for their first Kidical Mass family bike ride which included over 50 cyclists of various ages take a 2.8 mile bike ride around the town.
despite the uncertain weather lots of local people came to the event and many children entered our Crown making and Cake decorating competitions.
We would like to thank all that came along to the event.
