The Mayor of Bridgwater, Cllr Leigh Redman, has congratulated students and staff at Bridgwater College following an exceptional set of A Level, T Level and Technical Professional qualification results this summer.
The Mayor recently received a letter from Jason Gunningham, Principal of Bridgwater College, highlighting the college’s outstanding achievements as part of the UCS College Group. Students achieved a 100% A Level pass rate, while many vocational and technical courses also recorded exceptional results and high grades.
Among the highlights were a 100% A Level pass rate, strong performance across T Levels, and a 98.4% pass rate in Level 3 Technical Professional Qualifications. Students have secured places at leading universities and higher and degree apprenticeships with major employers.
Cllr Leigh Redman said,
“I was delighted to hear from Jason Gunningham about the fantastic achievements of students at Bridgwater College. These results reflect the hard work, dedication and ambition of our young people, as well as the outstanding support provided by teachers and staff.
“As Mayor of Bridgwater, I am incredibly proud to see so many local students succeeding and progressing to exciting opportunities in higher education, apprenticeships and employment.
“I would encourage every young person in Bridgwater to be ambitious and strive to achieve their very best. Not every journey is the same, and these results show the strength of both academic and technical education. Whether your next step is university, an apprenticeship, further training or employment, there are excellent opportunities available. Be proud of what you have achieved, keep challenging yourself, and remember that success comes in many forms. Congratulations to everyone who received their results this summer.”
The Mayor wished all students the very best as they take the next steps in their education, training and careers and thanked the college for its continued contribution to the town and wider community.
