ROTARY RIDE FOR PROSTATE CANCER
More than 50 people across a wide range of ages are taking part in the Bridgwater Rotary Club’s Ride for Prostate Cancer in a static bike challenge being held at the North Petherton Rugby Club Gym. Participants have gained sponsorship to ride as many miles as possible in 15 minutes, with proceeds being donated to the Somerset Prostate Support Association. Local organizer, Mike Sealey, said “We have been delighted with the response to this challenge and we hope that it will raise about £2,000. Nationally more than 140 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every day and more than 475,000 are living with and after prostate cancer, so the Rotary Club of Bridgwater is pleased to be raising funds to provide support to those in such a position locally”.
