The Bridgwater Business Expo, brought to you by Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, is back on Friday 21st June, 9.30am to 4pm, at The Canalside Centre. This event, which is free for all to attend, promises to be a hub of networking, learning, and growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, which attracted over 20 exhibitors and more than 100 visitors, the 2024 Bridgwater Business Expo aims to provide even more value to attendees.
As well as showcasing some of our brilliant local businesses, the expo will feature a variety of activities designed to provide insights and connections within the business community. Key highlights of the day include two main panel discussions where industry experts will delve into crucial topics.
The first panel discussion, “Booming Bridgwater: Growth Opportunities for Bridgwater Businesses,” will explore the growth opportunities in Bridgwater, the role of local government, insights from a new local business, and legal considerations for businesses in this rapidly developing environment.
The second panel discussion, “Nuclear Energy & Gigafactory: Launchpads to a Sustainable Economy”, will examine how major projects like Hinkley Point C and Tata’s Gigafactory near Bridgwater can serve as catalysts for local businesses to transition towards sustainability, addressing the opportunities, challenges, and support available for this economic transformation.
In addition to the panel discussions, several seminars and free business support sessions will be conducted by professionals, covering essential skills and strategies for business success. From networking skills to effective marketing tactics, these sessions aim to equip participants with practical tools they can apply to their businesses.
