Sedgemoor District Council need to carry out major changes to our Information Technology systems in preparation for our transition into the new Somerset Council in April 2023.
This will essentially mean that they will be off-line from 1700 hrs on Thursday, 1st December until 0900 hrs on Monday, 5th December. Their reception in Bridgwater House will remain open and staff will continue working out in the district. However, it does mean that they will not have any access to emails or their computer systems.
If you contact them by email on Friday, 2nd December, they will not be able to get back to you until week commencing 5th December. They are advised that some disruption which may continue into that week. Â
Their telephone lines will be open, however this will only be for emergencies such as homelessness and housing repairs, as they will not be able to provide their normal range of services.
Their website will be working, but they may not be able to process any transactions such pay council tax payments etc.Â
Their normal emergency and out of hours arrangements will be in place.
They apologise in advance for this unavoidable disruption.
