Bridgwater Town Council is pleased to announce a new partnership with Youth Unlimited, who have begun delivering detached (street-based) youth work across key areas of the town.
This initiative aims to engage young people out in the community, offering support, guidance and positive activities in familiar spaces.
Youth Unlimited’s team has already started walking routes that include:
- Morrisons
- YMCA & Skate Park
- King Square
- Town Centre
- Blake Gardens
- Cranleigh Gardens
- Bridgwater Train Station
By being present in these locations, youth workers are building relationships with young people, listening to their concerns and helping connect them with services and opportunities.
Detached youth work is a proven approach to reach those who may not access traditional youth centres or services.
This initiative reflects Bridgwater Town Council’s commitment to youth engagement, safety, and wellbeing.
Regular updates will be shared as the programme develops.
