Bridgwater Arts Centre will host a special community event on Thursday, 23 April at 7.30pm, for an evening of live music, entertainment and awareness-raising around mental health support.
The event, titled “Thursday Night Survival Kit,” will feature live music from Secret Seven, a quiz and a selection of stalls, all designed to create a fun and welcoming night out.
The evening is being held in support of the Mayor’s chosen charity, Men’s Shed, an organisation that offers practical activities, social opportunities and emotional support to men (and women) across the area.
The initiative plays a vital role in reducing loneliness and supporting mental wellbeing and funds raised from the event will help the group continue its work in the community.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Mayor of Bridgwater Cllr Kathy Pearce said,
“I’m incredibly proud to champion Men’s Shed as my chosen charity and I’m grateful to Bridgwater Arts Centre and everyone involved for shining a light on the vital support they provide.
“Mental health affects every family, every street and every part of our community. Events like this not only raise funds but also bring people together in a positive, supportive way. I encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the evening and help us make a real difference.”
Tickets are priced at £10 and promises a warm atmosphere, great entertainment and the chance to support a valuable local cause. Anyone wishing to attend can find further details or book at https://www.bridgwaterartscentre.co.uk/event/thursday-night-survival-kit/
