The Big Community Picnic marks the final event in Bridgwater Town Council’s summer programme, and promises a warm, welcoming celebration for all ages.
Set in one of the Council’s principal green spaces, Blake Gardens, this free event offers the perfect opportunity for families, friends, and neighbours to come together and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the heart of the town.
Tor Theatre will be performing a family-friendly show, guaranteed to delight audiences young and old.
A limited number of free children’s picnics will be available on the day (while stocks last) and visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and picnics to enjoy the entertainment in comfort.
Children can enjoy the bouncy castle, completely free of charge, while a face painter and a variety of community stalls will be offering fun activities and experiences for a small fee.
Refreshments will also be available to purchase, thanks to the support of volunteers from Blake Museum.
Cllr Liz Marsh, Chair of the Events Committee, said,
“The Big Community Picnic is a wonderful way to bring people together and celebrate the end of the summer events.
“We’re delighted to be rounding off this year’s summer events programme with our ever-popular Big Community Picnic. There will be something for everyone from live theatre to numerous stalls and children’s activities and we hope you all enjoy the day with us in Blake Gardens this Saturday.”
The event begins at 12 midday, is free to attend, and open to all. Come along and help us bring Bridgwater’s summer events to a memorable close.
