Following the refurbishment and redecoration work to the Town Hall building the scaffolding has been removed from the front of Bridgwater Town Hall.
Key improvements include necessary repairs to the masonry, such as removing any defective render and repairing it with new lime render. The masonry has been treated and fully repainted using specialist materials and products from KEIM. Additionally, the sash windows have either been replaced or repaired, refurbished, and repainted.
New bird netting has been installed, and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Cells have been added to the roof in preparation for transitioning from gas central heating to electric heating and hot water supply.
Following the removal of the scaffolding , the railings will be painted with weather-resistant coatings to protect against the elements, while the doors will receive a fresh coat of paint to complement the newly refurbished exterior.
These updates not only enhance the visual appeal of the Town Hall but also ensure its sustainability and longevity.
The involvement of local companies in this project underscores our commitment to preserving the town’s heritage while supporting the local economy.
The timely completion of these works ensures that the Town Hall will serve as a stunning backdrop for the Bridgwater Carnival, a cherished local tradition that brings together residents and visitors alike.
