We are excited to announce that St. Matthews Field will host a Playday on Wednesday 30 July 2025 as part of Love Parks Week, a week that highlights the vital role green spaces play in boosting the health and wellbeing of residents and communities.
This free event is open to everyone and promises a day filled with fun children’s activities.

Councillor Liz Marsh from Bridgwater Town Councils Communities committee said,
“We are thrilled to bring Playday to St. Matthews Field. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the importance of play in children’s lives. Events like Playday not only provide a platform for fun but also emphasise the critical role of play in learning and growth. We are proud to support this initiative and look forward to seeing the community come together.”
