On Saturday 4 October at 1.15pm, a commemorative plaque will be officially unveiled on the Eastover mural. The addition of the plaque ensures the story behind it and the people who brought it to life will be remembered for generations to come.
The unveiling will be led by the Deputy Mayor of Bridgwater, Cllr Leigh Redman, alongside Tom Sledmore, the lead artist behind the mural project.
Designed to reflect the town’s rich cultural heritage, the Eastover mural is one of three key legacy projects within the Animating the Town Deal initiative, part of the wider Bridgwater Town Deal programme.
In addition to the mural, the programme also includes the development of a new heritage trail and the production of a celebratory film, further showcasing the town’s commitment to creativity, history and cultural engagement.
