Bridgwater Town Council is inviting expressions of interest from businesses looking to operate a concession within the popular Blake Gardens.
The Council is exploring opportunities to introduce a small-scale concession, such as an ice cream van or similar, to enhance the visitor experience in the town centre’s much-loved green space.
Blake Gardens attracts residents and visitors throughout the year and is a key location for relaxation, community events and seasonal activities. The addition of a concession would provide a welcome amenity for those enjoying the gardens, particularly during the warmer months.
This opportunity is proposed as a seasonal trial running through the summer months into September, helping to assess the demand and suitability of such an offering within the gardens.
Bridgwater Town Council is keen to hear from suitable vendors who can offer a high-quality, reliable service that complements the character of the gardens.
Tim Mander, Chair of the Amenities Committee said,
“Blake Gardens is a valued space at the heart of our town and we are always looking for ways to improve the experience for those who visit. A concession such as an ice cream van would be a great addition and we encourage interested businesses to get in touch.”
Businesses interested in this opportunity are invited to express their interest by emailing [email protected] by 10 July 2026. For an informal discussion about the opportunity, please call 01278 427692.
