The Mayor of Bridgwater, Councillor Kathy Pearce, will be hosting a Charity Quiz Night in aid of her chosen charity, Men’s Shed.
The event will take place on Thursday, 29 January 2026, at 7.30 pm at Bridgwater Arts Centre.
All proceeds will go towards supporting Men’s Shed, the Mayor’s charity of the year.
The evening will feature a general knowledge quiz designed to provide an enjoyable and sociable experience for participants. Teams of up to six people are welcome to take part, with an entry fee of £2 per person. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, and a raffle will run alongside the quiz to offer additional opportunities for attendees to contribute to the fundraising effort.
Men’s Shed plays a vital role in supporting wellbeing and reducing isolation. The organisation provides a welcoming space where people can come together to share skills, work on practical projects, and enjoy companionship. From woodworking and repairs to simply sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, Men’s Shed helps build friendships, boost confidence and improve mental health. Its work is particularly important in tackling loneliness and promoting positive wellbeing.
The Mayor, Cllr Kathy Pearce said,
