Thanks to a generous initiative by Local Pantry South Bridgwater (Hamp), residents at Gibb House recently received 24 harvest boxes filled with essential items and seasonal comforts.
The harvest boxes contained a range of food items, toiletries, blankets and hot water bottles, providing practical support and a little extra warmth as the colder months approach. Funded through donations and fundraising efforts supported by the Local Pantry and its volunteers, each box was carefully assembled to provide both practical assistance and reassurance to residents during the winter months.
Jake Jones, Community Centre Manager at Recreation Community Hub, which hosts the Local Pantry said,
“The Pantry volunteers wanted to provide something that offers comfort as well as practical support. Thanks to the generosity of those who donate to and support the Pantry, we were able to put together these harvest boxes and deliver them to residents at Gibb House. Community support is at the heart of everything we do, and we hope these boxes will bring a little extra comfort as we move into the winter months.”
