Bridgwater Town Council is inviting residents to help shape the future of Eastover Park, as it launches a community consultation on proposed improvements to the park’s Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
Now under the management and maintenance of Bridgwater Town Council, Eastover Park remains a valued green space within the town. However, the existing outdoor gym equipment, originally installed through RLT3 developer contributions has reached the end of its lifespan.
The Council is now seeking community input to guide plans for revitalising this area and ensuring it meets the needs of local residents for years to come.
Residents are encouraged to share their views through an online consultation and by attending a drop-in session at the park. The consultation will take place by the gym equipment in Eastover Park on Tuesday 7 July between 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
Tim Mander, Chair of the Amenities Committee said,
“Eastover Park is an important community asset, and we want to ensure it reflects the needs and aspirations of those who use it. This consultation is an opportunity for residents to have their say on how this space can be improved and enjoyed by everyone.”
Feedback gathered through the consultation will directly inform the Council’s plans to enhance the park, making it a more accessible, engaging, and inclusive space for the whole community.
