In a welcome development for local commuters, the damaged bus shelter on Durleigh Road has been replaced after the previous shelter was damaged in a road traffic incident.
The new shelter aims to provide a more comfortable and secure waiting area for passengers. Equipped with solar lighting, the shelter will enhance visibility and safety during the evening and early morning hours, making it a more user-friendly facility for all.
This replacement is part of Bridgwater Town Council’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve public infrastructure and shows its commitment to investing in modern and sustainable solutions.
Councillor Tim Mander, Chair of the Amenities Committee said,
“We are pleased to see the new bus shelter in place. It not only improves the aesthetic of the area but also ensures that our residents have a safe and comfortable place to wait for their buses. This is just one of many initiatives we are undertaking to improve public amenities in Bridgwater.”
