With less than month until Playday 2025 makes its exciting debut in Bridgwater, families can look forward to a day packed with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
On Wednesday 30 July, everyone is invited to join the fun at St Matthew’s Field from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
With a wide range of activities for all ages, Playday 2025 promises something for everyone. Younger children can enjoy Jolly Babies, Messy Play, face painting, circus skills, and inflatables, while older children and thrill-seekers can test their skills on the climbing wall (no open toe shoes allowed for climbing),, Segways, surf simulator, rodeo bull, axe throwing, and archery.
Live entertainers and magicians will be on hand to deliver laughs and surprises throughout the day. Families can also get up close with birds of prey. Sports and games on offer will include football, kickboxing, frisbee golf, an assault course, and much more!
Thanks to the generous support of Bridgwater Town Council, the HPC Community Fund, and Co-op Funeral Care, Playday 2025 will be completely FREE for the community to enjoy—ensuring accessibility for all.
Parking is available on-site for just £1 per car. Bridgwater Rotary Club has kindly volunteered to manage parking and will accept payment by cash or card.
Donations to support the future of Playday are warmly welcomed. Look out for donation boxes and QR codes at each activity station—any contribution will go directly toward funding Playday 2026.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult. The Playday Committee will issue wristbands for children to wear with a contact number for their responsible adult, helping to ensure children are reunited quickly should they become separated.
Don’t forget your sunscreen, sun hats (or wet-weather gear!), and plenty of water—it’s sure to be an action-packed day! Hot and cold refreshments will be available to purchase on site, or you are welcome to bring a picnic.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times, and owners are asked to clean up after their pets. If the weather is particularly hot, please consider leaving dogs at home to keep them cool and comfortable.
