Members of the public are invited to join Bridgwater Town Council for the Annual Town Meeting on Thursday 16 April 2026 at Bridgwater Arts Centre at 7.00pm (doors open at 6.30pm).
Hosted by the Mayor of Bridgwater, Cllr Kathy Pearce, the meeting provides an important opportunity for residents to hear updates, raise questions and discuss key issues affecting the town.
As part of the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to watch “Brick by Brick”, a film funded through the Town Deal programme and produced by Somerset Film.
There will be guest speakers who have received Council grant funding, including recipients of Community Grants and Venue Grants. The Mayor’s chosen charity, Men’s Shed, for whom she has been actively fundraising throughout her mayoral year, will also be speaking about the work they do.
The evening will include the presentation of the Bridgwater Cup, awarded annually to an individual or organisation in recognition of outstanding contributions to the local community.
The meeting will include an open forum, giving residents the chance to ask questions. To help provide the most accurate responses, residents are encouraged to submit questions in advance to democraticservices@bridgwater‑tc.gov.uk .
This is an annual statutory public meeting for the local government electors of Bridgwater. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start and everyone is welcome to attend.
The full agenda will be published one week before the meeting at https://bridgwater-tc.gov.uk/
