Bridgwater Together is inviting residents to enjoy a series of free live music performances at Bridgwater Arts Centre, bringing together artists from different cultural backgrounds in a celebration of community, creativity, and diversity.
The “Live Music on a Thursday Evening” series will take place in the bar at Bridgwater Arts Centre, with doors opening at 7pm for each event.
Admission is completely free, offering local people the opportunity to experience a variety of musical styles and cultural influences in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The programme of events features three talented performers representing different international connections and musical traditions, starting on Thursday 6 August with Claude Sandiford, a singer songwriter who can bring you anything from George Ezra to Jamaican reggae.
On Thursday 3 September, audiences can enjoy a performance by Justyna Michalka, a Polish singer-guitarist based in Bridgwater, known for her engaging acoustic covers, blending pop, country and contemporary favourites.
The programme concludes on Thursday 1 October with Devid Piazza, an Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist who performs a mix of rock, indie, Britpop, and classic popular covers, alongside his own original songs.
The initiative has been organised by Bridgwater Together, a community group dedicated to celebrating diversity and promoting connections across the town’s many cultures.
The series aims to create opportunities for people to come together, discover new sounds and strengthen community ties through the universal language of music.
The events will be held in the Bar at Bridgwater Arts Centre, offering an informal setting where audiences can relax, socialise and enjoy live performances.
