Blake Museum in Bridgwater has moved to its winter opening hours from Saturday 9 November 2024.
The museum will be open to visitors every Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm, with the last entry at 2:00pm.
Blake Museum is free to enter, although donations are most welcome to help support the museum’s ongoing activities and preservation efforts.
In addition to exploring the rich history and exhibits of Blake Museum, visitors can also enjoy the museum shop, and refreshments are available.
Blake Museum is a 16th century house located in the heart of Bridgwater, a historic market town and port, first mentioned as Brugie in the Domesday Book of 1086.
The Museum was first opened to the public in 1926 and it is said that Robert Blake, the town’s most famous citizen, was born in the house in 1598.
Blake Museum is the local museum for archaeology and history of Bridgwater. With the collections covering Bridgwater and the surrounding areas there are fascinating displays waiting to be discovered.
