Seed Sedgemoor’s Individuality Project: Clay Sculpting Workshop
Due to the resounding success of SEED Sedgemoor’s clay-sculpting workshop we’re hosting another session here at the Library! This session will be on Saturday 13 July from 10.30 to 11.45 am. The workshop is free but places must be booked. Book your place with staff at Bridgwater Library; on Eventbrite via using the QR code on the poster or email Bridget at cheddarindividualityproject.eventbrite.com
The Individuality Project is bringing Sedgemoor’s residents together to celebrate their individuality, difference and uniqueness by creating clay figures (13-15 cm tall) that represent how they see themselves. Inspired by sculptor Antony Gormley’s terracotta figures, the project will involve 300 people who will participate in workshops, run by local ceramic artists Bridget Hemmings.
The workshops are taking place in 10 communities in: Highbridge, Bridgwater and surrounding villages. Once the figures are created, they will go on permanent display in each location to create a collective work made by Sedgemoor residents and supported by engagement materials and online walking art trail maps.
