Local Author Talk with May Ellis at Bridgwater Library

After writing six novels whilst working as a professional fundraiser, May retired to Somerset. There, inspired by her new community and discovering a horde of historical treasure in the Clarks archives, she has written a series of historical sagas about the workers at the Clarks factory during the First World War. Many of the story lines are based on real events recorded in the documents she found! Her latest book, standalone novel Lily’s Choice, is inspired by real events in May’s family in London in the 1960s, with the fourth and final book in the Clarks Girls series due out this May.

This is a free event, however booking is essential.  Message Somerset Libraries Bridgwater via facebook or e-mail [email protected] or speak to a member of staff in the library
