Local Author Talk with Felice Hardy: ‘The Tennis Champion Who Escaped the Nazi’s’

In 1930 Liesl Herbst was the Austrian National Tennis Champion, a celebrity in Vienna. Liesl, her husband David and their daughter Dorli came to Britain after escaping the Nazis. Felice Hardy – Liesl’s grand-daughter will share with us this story of survival against terrible odds, an inspiring tale of resilience and hope, illustrated throughout with family photographs and original documents.
Felice is a journalist and author who has written on a variety of topics. As a travel writer, she has toured the world, she co-edits the website Welove2ski and hosts a successful podcast called Action Packed Travel.
