Local Author Talk with David John: Harriet’s Eternal Tears

David’s debut novel is told from the points of view of his grandfather, who served in the Cycling Corps in WWI, and his great-grandmother Harriet and how she dealt with the uncertainties and grief of war.  Although a novel, it is based on real people and the experiences of his family which took place during the war.  A retired Somerset GP who has worked with veterans with PTSD, David donates all profits from book sales to the charity Combat Stress.
